Sometimes a walk in the woods and a puppy in your arms is all that you need to feel like yourself again.
Time and time again, I’m reminded how powerful the basics are, even (and perhaps especially) when I’m feeling out-of-sorts inside.
Nature.
Fresh air.
Hugs.
Stillness and quiet.
Movement.
Nourishing food.
Talking it out.
Water.
Laughter.
Play.
These things are some of the best medicines out there, but they’re often overlooked. They’re simple, but they’re important - for our bodies, for our minds, and for our hearts.
And many times, our to-do list can wait. Make sure you’re on that list too. Make sure you take care of you. Take a break and sink into your life a little bit today. Nourish yourself in whatever way you need.
