Make space so that the life you want can reach you.
Maybe this means going though your closet. Or cleaning out the fridge and kitchen cabinets. Decluttering your office. Or releasing relationships that make you feel like shit. Putting up boundaries to protect your energy. Or going through your social media accounts and being more selective about who you follow and who follows you. Maybe it’s creating a few minutes to sit quietly with yourself rather than automatically zoning out to the tv in the evening. Or waking up and taking a quick stroll in nature instead of a scroll down your news feed (see what I did there ;) ). Maybe it’s finally letting go of a limiting belief or habit you know is hurting you. Or maybe it’s one of a million other ways to make some more space in your life.
I’ve done almost all of those things over the past few days. The other morning, I woke up with the insatiable urge to CLEAN OUT. The words “Magic needs space. Magic needs room. Magic needs room to breathe!” flooded my mind. I had been feeling the urge to clean out my spaces (physically and online) for awhile now, but put it off. And then I put it off some more (cue eye roll).
Because it can be tedious. It can be hard. And it can be scary.
But here’s the thing: so often in life, we need to clear out the old in order to welcome the new. We have to let go of what no longer fits, what isn’t aligned with who we are or where we’re headed, or what is energetically draining us.
AND, making room in your life can also be a powerful way to honor yourself and show yourself self-respect and love. I mean, just go clean out your closet - getting rid of whatever doesn’t fit or make you feel really darn good in it - and then come back here and let me know how you feel..
Recognizing and releasing harmful beliefs and habits invites healing to come on in.
Creating (physical, mental, emotional and energetic) space by letting go of what is no longer serving us is like pulling out the weeds crowding our flower gardens so that our roses, tulips, and daises have the opportunity to bloom to the fullest potential.
You need to create room for your dreams to bloom.
